Mission Statement from Coach

Coach Corner

Seabreeze High School is a special place, and I am excited to be given the opportunity to be the Head Coach! As a central Florida native, growing up in New Smyrna Beach, it is exciting to be able to give work and give back to the same communities that helped shape me. Football has always been a passion for me, and the game has helped build me into the person I am today. More specifically the Men in my life who poured into me as my coaches. This impact helped inspire, drive, and teach me how to work for success. Through the lessons I was taught I was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to D1 Jacksonville University to play linebacker. My time at JU was amazing, as I was again surrounded by great mentors on the field, weightroom, training room, and classroom. I left JU with great memories, great successes, a degree, and the knowledge and training to be successful in life.

After playing football, I knew that my calling was to give back—to teach, guide, and inspire young athletes the way my coaches did for me. But what they taught me went beyond just the game. They instilled in me values that I still carry with me today: integrity, perseverance, and the importance of being a godly man. As I coach today, I strive to pass on those same principles to the young men I work with, helping them grow not just as players, but as people. Over the last 10 years I have had the privilege to coach both in college and at the high school level. During my time in college, I served as a Defensive Coordinator, and also as a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University. I was able to really learn the ins and outs of the game, coaching, and training. While honing my skills in the competitive atmosphere of college football, I felt a tug at my heart to get back to where it all began for me, high school football. When the opportunity presented itself, my wife and I moved back to the east coast of central Florida, and I got back into coaching high school football. I spent 3 seasons at Spruce Creek and 2 seasons at Deland. During that time we were able to win 3 District titles and send over 30 kids off to play college football! I knew I wanted to be a head coach, but was waiting for the right opportunity. And then I got that call!

Today I am happy to lead the Seabreeze Football program and take over the reigns of a historic program. Following in the footsteps of great Seabreeze head coaches like Rocky Yocam, Kerry Kramer, and Mark Beach I plan to bring the winning tradition back to the Breeze! Building young men with our core values of Honor, Toughness, and Brotherhood (H.T.B) we will bring success back into our program, school, and community. Teaching our youth to be strong in and ever challenging environment so they can face adversity head on reach the goals they set for themselves and their futures!

The future for Seabreeze Football and Seabreeze high school is bright, and will be an exciting thing to be a part of. Thank you for your continued support of our program. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our young athletes!

God bless,
Coach Klein
